Our Scholars in the Chicago Tribune

On Wednesday, January 21, 2009 Chicago Tribune announced Nordstrom Scholarship Program Award Winners. Two of the five winners were our students: 
Chelsea Goolsby-Eberhart of Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy,
Derrius Quarles of Kenwood Academy.

Nordstrom Scholarship awards the winners with $10,000 scholarship toward an accredit four-year university tuition. Criteria for this scholarship includes, academic achievement, community service, involvement, and financial need.
