My Name:  Chanta Williams

High School:  Jones College Prep

Favorite Class/Activity:  Legal Systems III

Favorite Teacher/Counselor:  Ms. Coyler (Legal Systems III Teacher)

My favorite way to relax:  Writing poetry, shopping, and listening to music

Favorite book:  I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, by Maya Angelou

The College I will be attending:  Howard University

My dream profession:  Corporate Attorney, U.S. Senator, and U.S. Supreme Court Judge (In this order.  At different stages in my life)

Biggest concern about college:  Making tough decisions because at times I can be a bit indecisive

When I go to college I most look forward to:  Experiencing life on the brink of adulthood in a collegiate setting while still learning how to survive on my own.

The piece of advice I would give to a high school freshman about college is:  Write down everything you particpate in (dates, sponsor, etc.)  because every little bit counts when you're applying for college and scholarships.

My hero is:  My mommy because she defines for me what optimism, spirituality, and humility really are, and I strive to have even a fraction of that.
