Principal's Breakfast
February 15, 2011 - East Bank Club
On a brisk february morning, principals and counselors from private and public high schools all over Chicago met at the East Bank Club in River North to learn about Chicago Scholars' five year college success and mentoring programming and the exciting opportunities we could offer their junior-year students.
As our guest finished their meals, Jessica Root, an admissions representative of Hope College offered her impression of Chicago Scholars' impact on students from both the perspectives of a college admissions representative and a cohort mentor. Meseret gave an overview of our five-year program, detailing the benefits to admitted students at every phase of our five year programming from seniors in high school to graduating undergraduate seniors.
To Conclude the Breakfast, Molly Whybrow, our High School LAUNCH Program Manager, gave a breakdown criteria of eligible candidates we are looking for and important dates and deadlines we have set in place for both applicants and our admissions process. After the formal presentation, Meseret and Molly took the time to answer our guests' questions.
