Career Crawl
Careers for the 21st Century, a summer career series, helps our high-need,
low-income students broaden their knowledge of the world of work so they can learn more about how their talents and interests align with various career paths. By starting to explore career options in college, our scholars are in a stronger position to prepare academically and socially for their post-graduation careers.
During the summer, our scholars are invited to participate in a summer-long program of 8 -10 sessions during which they will learn more about various career fields from leading professionals. The students may participate in one or more summer tracks: law, business or healthcare – three of the top fields identified by students as future career choices - and explore fields such as risk managment, green technology, manufacturing, financial services, HR and the not-for-profit world.
Student Objectives:
- Gain an inside look into how business works and what is required to enter the profession
- Obtain knowledge and confidence by meeting with leading business professionals in small, highly interactive settings
